FloeWorkshop is a carpentry workshop based in Dunbar, East Lothian.
Who we are
The business was founded by Fin Loening who started out as a solo cabinet maker/ joiner. Fin originally trained as a furniture maker and has since built up a wealth of experience ranging from fine furniture design and construction to architectural joinery. In 2022 he was joined by his partner Amy, as an apprentice. Our small but mighty team was completed by Gracie, after graduating from her 4 year joinery apprenticeship at the Ridge Foundations, Dunbar in 2024.
What We Do
We specialise in bespoke, high-quality cabinetry and storage, building in both traditional and contemporary styles. Our furniture is custom designed to make the best of a space both aesthetically and functionally. It is tailored to the specific requirements of each project and precisely made in our workshop using high quality local materials wherever possible.
Who for/with & where?
We work directly with individuals as well as through Architects and Interior Designers to achieve the vision within the budget available. We produce work for people’s homes and on commercial projects (such as gallery installations, retail and hospitality). We love a challenge and believe that variety is the spice of life. So, whatever the scale or scope of your project, we are happy to chat with you to see if we are the right people to help you realise your idea.
